I think you guys are talking about Bob Slacker. I remember this guy, Joe - he married his high school sweetheart, Mona, at a young age. Sort of a 'Paradise by the Dashboard Light' deal. Now he can't get out of the house quick enough or long enough to make his life bearable. If you knew Mona you'd feel sorry for the guy. He's more hen-pecked than a corn cob in a chicken coup.
