Here's my 1st entry. It will be competing in the 1/25 Hot Rod class.



Used the model kit chassis. Helps to get the body properly mounted... :D


Here you can see that I hogged out where the motor is, and simply glued the motor mount to the chassis (using Goop)
You can also see that the wheelie bars are also glued to the chassis.


Here you see I attached the drop arm and the front axle tube to the chassis (Goop!!)


The 2 screws you see on the bottom of the chassis screw into the model kit interior which is glued to the body shell. This way I can remove the chassis and have access to the motor. You'll also notice lead weight stuck to the underside of the chassis. As it sits in these pics, it's 6oz (our club rules), so I can remove an ounce before sending it to Todd's... :auto-driving:

Rear wheels are H&R narrows, tires are Paul Gage narrow slicks.
Front wheels are WRP Halibrand style (part# W-06). Tires are urethane, molded from kit tires
Pirhana motor (per the rules) currently geared 9/31, but will probably lower the ratio for Todd's track (more info on that coming)

Components being used for this build:
Body:
- EDP Plastic Dragster Body - part # EDP-3009
- Shapeways (Woodguy Racing - Slot Car Stuff) - Hemi big blower scoop Slot Car Motor Topper
- Shapeways (Woodguy Racing - Slot Car Stuff) - Drag Driver with Cage 2 1/25, two piece
- Wing - will be cutting up used up gift cards to fab

Chassis:
- Motor and guide mounts: ESS Econo Dragster ESR3
- Rails - .082" stainless tubing
- Mounts - planning on .062" brass tubing

Drive line
- new Pirahna 25k ball bearing motor
- 11 tooth pinion and 31 tooth crown (to start)

Wheels & Tires
- To be determined...

I have a question...what size tyres and rims do I use for the rare and where will I buy them from. 1/32 is by the looks not that easy....

Clive - there are a couple nice options for the rear depending on what you are looking to do.
- CB Design wheels - these can be had in both insert style and "steely" and have a variety of tires available that can be used from Paul Gauge, etc that should get you the sizes you are after (as an example - a 22mm OD tire in 1/32 scale is equivalent to a 27.7" OD full size tire.
- Factory 1/32 wheels form Pioneer fit 3/32 axles nicely so if you are looking for "stock" type width wheels - the Torque Thrusts that they offer are a nice option - but need to be glued on. (there are Paul Gage tires to fit these wheels as well)
- For using retro style rubber from Bob Taylor (TRU Tires) or Shot Gunz Tires and / or where you want a really wide tire (Funny car, etc) - a great way to go is to use Pro-Track's Daytona Stocker wheels (use lacquer thinner to remove the foam) - these are a 1/2" OD wheel available in various widths and depending on the application, the factory "slotted mag" look may be appropriate - or they can be used with 1/2" OD inserts.

As far as sourcing for the wheels - depending on which flavor you are interested in - you should be able to get what you need at various suppliers like Slot Car Corner, Cloverleaf, Cincy Slots, Professor Motor, Electric Dreams, etc.
