MidSouth Slot Cars ( Memphis TN area)

Any one looking for a place to race in the Memphis Tn area look us up. We are located in Southaven Ms, (just south of Memphis) we are a small club of oval racers that get together on most Sundays and race. We usually race "dirt" cars but will race anything we have four of. We race on a 4 lane routed mdf track, Pyramid power supply at 14 volts, and Trackmate dead strip lap counter. We usually start racing around 3pm. If anyone is interested contact me here or on our Facebook page @Midsouthslotcars . I have a few loaner cars for every class we race if anyone wants to come by and check it out.

Hey, are you guys connected to the group that was out at Summer and 240 a few years ago?

Its hard to recognise Southaven these days. When I lived in Memphis (21 years), it was a tiny little place, barely across the line, and home to Bullfrog Corner Steak House. Is it still there, or did they run out of cows big enough to make their steak?

We have a few of the Summer & 240 guys in our group. Steak House is gone long ago.

Are any of the guys that ran at the hobby shop in this group? I came to Memphis about 6 or 7 years ago. Racing on Sundays makes it a bit hard for me. Unless I just take a weekend that I'm not doing something at the church which is rare. I have Nascars but none of the others. Does your facebook page give the specs? I see the trucks are 1/24 scale on the H&R chassis. Run that at Bullitt in Louisville with the M/T5 motor. Didn't see specs/rules for the other cars.

We do have a few of the guys from the hobby shop in Memphis racing with us. Our specs/rules are on our Facebook page. I'm sure they are buried in the post though. I have 2 or 3 of every car we race if anyone wants to stop by or make a trip over to race.
