Dug out a set of "damaged" Pro-Track tires that are on Drag star wheels and started digging in with the goodies from Slot Car Corner that came in this week!
As noted, the foam on this set of Pro-Track wheels was damaged (I received them used as part of a lot I purchased - not sure how the damage occurred?) - however note the tear from the hub area outward at the end of the pointer:
(for reference - these started as Pro-Track 1-3/16 x.500 - part # N408I)
A quick soak in lacquer thinner for 30 minutes had the damaged foam tires ready to slip right off - leaving this:
Installing a set of Paul Gage - XPG 1/24 Drag Racing Tires (Wide) tires on the wheels:
And then for another added layer of "cool factor" - Pro-track bead lock inserts!

Still have to true them - but liking the look / fit! :D
