Looks like FUN! - my road to 3D printing

3D Printing looks amazing, and the cost of entry is too low not to jump in, so I ordered an Ender 3 and spool of white PLA, should be arriving next week. Ordered the Luxnwatts Creality Ender 3 from Amazon which was/is offered with a $40 off coupon and free shipping, $189 total.

For anyone that remembers, I’m on Oahu Hawaii - semi-retired now. We bought a house in Ridgefield Washington last year, it’s finished now and all my slot gear has been shipped there. Our final move will be late this year.

A little bored without my slot toys around, even if they were all packed up, so took the plunge into 3D. I have been using a CNC router for wood, but that’s 2D and has also been shipped to WA.

Still love the slots and looking forward to have the space and time for a track again.

Have a look through the 3D Printing section, you'll find heaps to print with lots of help and advice on setup as well.

Which cnc router do you have? I have an x-carve, lot of fun but I just haven’t had much time lately to mess with it.

Also have X-Carve 500mm. Purchased in 2016 and used but got distracted by getting our house ready for sale. Now packed up and shipped to WA along with most of my tools and all of my slots.

I did pickup some upgrades like the X-Controller and V-Carve Software - but have not used these yet. I enjoy the X-Carve doing things like in-lays and working with fine hardwoods.
