Lotus 23 Chassis

[BARC 1]

I have been building some Lotus 23"s from casts from my own master. I wanted to build a solid chassis for these small cars and used some brass. This chassis was built for a 130 type motor, the other two have FF50 slimcans in them.





I used 1/8 inch Cox threaded Axles and Cox magnesium rims. Rims are fitted with Urethane tires. Pretty Solid little chassis that can take a lot of abuse.

Did up a fantasy livery to use up some old decals I had







Built another one in a Team Factory Livery as well



And the best picture of all was my two year old Grand Daughter running laps with the white Lotus . She showed good hand-eye coordination and drove quite well using Grampy's custom pistol grip controller.

Thanks guys. Youngest Grand Daughter was quick to pick this up. First time with the controller and she nailed it. I was actually impressed with her attention to the car and its position on the track. Very aware of what her throttle inputs were doing to the car. Her face says it all,and captures the simple joy of just having fun.
