3D Printed Chaparral 2H - 1/64th scale

Here's another one in the works for a friend/customer who is going to use it as a buck to vacuum form lexan bodies... 1969 Chaparral 2H.

Sitting on its intended chassis, it will never have gone so fast! But given its actual racing history, perhaps it should be fitted to a Tyco "S" chassis with crispy tires!

I would go 1/32. I have the Strombecker, but it's a little narrow.

As far as chassis....I just print my own. There are several on Thingiverse and I made an adjustable wheelbase one from one of them.

Or I could do what I do with some of my 1/64 cars, and go with an integrated chassis... the motor and other useful bits just attach into the bottom of the body. Lighter weight. Lower printing costs. And fully custom to the specific car. Beautiful part of printing my own is I can make the cars as accurately proportioned as possible. Usually the only limiting factor is the type of motor. I don't have to stretch or distort my cars to fit standard 1.5" or 1.7" wheelbases.
