GT3 Proxy 2020_Registration Rules & Info (UPDATED)

Interesting design and looks good. I'd remove the brass weight behind the rear axle and try it in front of the motor. I have used weight behind the rear axle with great success on muscle cars that are high and have heavy body weight. Not sure it would work on a GT3 car though. 21k slotit short can won't be enough motor, go for a NSR 25K shark at least. I think they are a great motor.
95g chassis + 20g body is good for me if everything is balanced and works well. The Slot it tungsten weights to replace the magnets on the pod positions are worth considering as well. I like the brass side pans out wide, Scaleauto deep guides are good and worth playing with the guide depth. Polar length looks good, I'd narrow and harden the front tyres, make them independent with slot it hollow axles. Of course all of this depends on how much traction your rear tyres have.

I could be way off and this setup kicks butt anyway...

First test of the latest car went better than expected. Needs more motor, but was turning good laps and was very smooth right off the jig.

This car at 21K is fast enough already. I would stop testing immediately, coat the rear tires in hard as nails, go to a 14/30 gear ratio and get the weight up to 140 grams. Of course I'm kidding the car looks great through the technical parts. I'm tuning another car to tune against the car I'm building for the GT3 proxy. Hopefully one of 3 will be fast enough to not be a go home car.

I’m setting up a Scaleauto Viper.....
It has the same wheel base as a sideways BMW 320...
So I’m thinking the GT3 Class will be if not faster than the group 5’s...
I’m starting off with the same spec’s as my Group5 car competing which has a
29k motor .....

Hi Fellow proxy racers!

It is time to get the show on the road, have you started working on your GT3 car yet??

Here are the revised deadlines:

- May 31st (final deadline for entry - if you don't see your name in post #1 please flag)
- June 30th (payment deadline - if payment is not received by this date then your name will be moved to a standby list) - see post #1 for details
- November 15th (revised deadline for cars to be in Chilliwack) this change is due to me being out of country until October 15 and I want to ensure that I am back by the time cars start arriving
