Well there are venues that host both series. Perhaps this World Fastest Proxy claim needs to be won and not just titled. Which ever series posts the all out quickest laps gets the claim for the next year.

Build it, buy it, tune it, don't care, just make it fast and easy to drive and it will do well......(so easy to type, so much harder to do!)

This will always be the fastest proxy in the world, it was our saying first, and it will always be, even if it is not, the fastest proxy in the world....in my mind at least perception is reality (and my tongue is mostly firmly in my cheek :D )

Just to be VERY clear again, not pointing any fingers or accusing anyone, I have no indication or even suspicion, just wanted to make sure I ask all entrants to adhere to the spirit of proxy racing and build their own entry.....rather clear the air and put it out in the open now, than trying to fix after, if it does happen!

There is absolutely no issue with getting advise, or teaming up to test, or asking for ideas here on the forum or elsewhere. That's exactly the reason I do the body off videos, to help other builders learn and maybe improve their next entry.

I think Dennis's point about buying prepared tyres is very valid, in fact it reminded me that a few years ago I bought some NSR pre-glued and trued mounted tyres from Pendle. I ended up using my own set for that series, but it was certainly an option.

I will let each entrant decide for themselves if they would like to prepare their own tyres or not, I have edited my previous post to remove that comment

I am happy to help guys who ask for my assistance, IE have a look at their car and provide some tips to what I think MIGHT improve their cars performance. This has been the philosophy of both Jim and myself over the years here in Australia and I don't see it as a conflict of interest to the spirit of proxy racing. I have absolutely no doubt cars are tweaked and tuned by more experienced builders for some entrants, not an issue as far as I'm concerned. If the car owner gains some knowledge and understanding that is great and hopefully encourages them to stick with the hobby.
I certainly won't be building complete cars for anyone for proxies though.

Does it matter if you buy a RTR car off another builder. There's only one winner and I'm sure if that person sold ready built cars they won't be better.
Someone mentioned NSR glued and trued, I only used one pair so far and I'm convinced they are better quality than the bare tyres.

My GRP5 car arrived yesterday...
So I unpacked it and cleaned the tungsten putty so the body & pod floated free ....
I put it on the track and set a time, then I put my viper on to see where I am with it ...
Well I’m very happy with my GT3 entry it’s fast and great to drive....

Do we know yet which tracks these cars will run on, and something of the characteristics of those tracks - i.e., total lap lengths, length of longest straights, diameter of tightest turns, operating voltage for each track?
