GT3 Proxy 2020_Edition_build thread

My GRP5 car arrived yesterday...
So I unpacked it and cleaned the tungsten putty so the body & pod floated free ....
I put it on the track and set a time, then I put my viper on to see where I am with it ...
Well I’m very happy with my GT3 entry it’s fast and great to drive....

With only 116 days to go, several 2019 contenders are receiving cars back to make strong comparisons to their 2020 GT3 cars with great results. And then flashing big trophies...so others (Me) have to go back to the drawing board AAAGAIN to improve on their cars. Others have moved on to testing cars on low grip tires and are gaining incredible results. A brilliant idea by a virtual Genius. All while we've ruled out the Scaleauto Corvette and others LOVE the Scaleauto Viper. Will that NSR Merc run better than the others or is it the new shiny object? Will there be a wide body Bentley in the hunt for fastest of the fast? Or will someone show up with a Cadillac and blow away the competition? Now you're up to date stay tuned.

I will be running the NSR Merc for the first time tonight. From the measurements it should be a contender, wide, long and low. I surprised however that the body weight wasn't a whole lot lower than my other cars, and heavier than some even though NSR had gone to great lengths to make it light.

Time will tell, I have abandoned 1 car completely but have three more going!

WOW that Porsche looks amazing, what rims are those?

With the success of some of the Thunderslot cars in the CanAm running suspension setups, I wonder if anyone will be trying suspension in the GT3 series?

I've been feeling guilty as I read everyone's progress plus I know how I like to leave tuning cars till the end, so I finally decided to get underway with a build!

Tweaked the chassis after a disappointing test run at the Edmonton Track. Was slower after the last set of mods. Stiffened the front end, lowered the COG and realigned the guide. Will it be enough to crack the line up? Regardless of the outcome the building and testing has been fun.

No more testing or tweaking. This will be the set up I mail off.
