O M G. You guys have started working on your cars already? I need at least 1200 hours worth of labor just to do one set of rubber tires! Let alone paint a car using a mop Slot Car Corner yellow. Oh boy, I better put the boat away, fire up the microwave and get to work.

Curious, you say the Racer Huracan looks like a loser. Is it the stock 17K motor? Mine is 3 secs slower than my CanAm Thunderslot Lola. Which is also basically stock. This car is currently in 8th place. Not sure if 4,000 RPM would cut three secs off or not. I've got a Viper on the way and I also have a sidewinder pod to drop in the Huracan and a NSR motor. Looks like I'll be doing a lot of testing starting next week.

I may get the Huracan remotored after I get back from the football game this evening. Dropping in a 28K NSR motor. Seems most guys cars in the build thread have 25-32K motors. I thought 28 would be a nice compromise. Hope its not to slow. Time will tell. I'll have to check the rules, can you send two cars hoping one gets in?

Big let down. After motor break-in the 28k motor made a nasty sound and dropped to 22K. It would not come back up in RPM. So off to one of our sponsors for a new motor. I doubt these things are guaranteed!!!
