What´s on your workbench right now?

Duplicolor car primer, it's lacquer based. No problem with adhesion with the Tamiya, but bad orange peel . Probably needs some Tamiya thinner if there is such a thing. I'll probably be able to smooth it out in a few days with a 2000 grit wet sand. The Testors acrylic is what I'm used to, and I can get it to go smoother. I highly recommend the Duplicolor primers!

Leadfinger, I'm using the Tamiya acrylics in the jars, not the rattle cans.



The Duplicolor Primer appears to be Lacquer based. I let everything dry at least 24 hours before going over with a different product.

I did not have a bad reaction with the Tamiya paint, just a bad surface. Not fisheyes or crazing, just bad orange-peel. Needed to be thinner. It looks like it will flat out just fine with some 2000 grit given a few days to dry.

The Testors I'm using are the Model Master Acrylics. I went to a different hobby shop, that's why I got the Tamiya. Not saying Tamiya is bad, I'm jut more used to the Testors.

May i ask the outside diameter of the Datto wheels?
the Mini got 11mm wheels all around (9mm rim, 1mm PU on each side).
