I have a couple of candidates, and I just found out I have less time than I thought, so I'm a tentative entry. Its either old Ford, old Chevy or old Plymouth... who knows?

Likely because it has more scale appeal and one of the goals in this event is to try and create as scale accurate a model as you can.

Some of us might have to do MAJOR chassis surgery to get the rounded tires inside street fenders with an off-the-shelf sidewinder chassis. All 4 bushing mounts might have to be moved inward. I won't know about mine until I get all the parts in hand next month. I had the same complaint for the Pony Wars Proxy - the rounded tires would not have fit inside my car's street fenders with the mandatory stock sidewinder chassis. Even the slab-sided ones barely fit.

If my first choice looks too problematic I'm sending a Lincoln Continental limousine that will knock the other cars off the track with every thrash of is gargantuan tail! :twisted:

I can tell you that I chose the mono chassis only because it allows me to use a full interior, I like to do that when I can. This chassis did need some modeling to make it work, I first was going to use the SCC 17X8 steel wheel,to do that I needed to do just what you said, the bushings were removed and replaced with 5/32 brass tube cut flush with the chassis edge. This made the wheel/tire combo fit inside the carrera 57 that i`m using, and the 57 ford model kit which is about the most narrow body in the group, same had to be done on the front. The whole modification took me about 90 minutes. But since then I have removed the 17s in favor of the 15x7 SCC steels simply because of the look. The tires were just to wide for the race era. I my picture post in scratch build you will see where I trimmed the tires to make them skinny.

I have some body ideas...which are still just ideas. ;) People have been outbidding me for all the most interesting bodies, and I was looking for a couple more antique kits I can't find at reasonable prices anywhere. :/

So how many cars are we allowed to send? I've got three I'm working on right now and don't know which of them I would send.

I think there are enough tracks but if not I also have a 75 foot Revell road course with a 180 degree banked turn at one end of a long straight if you want to send the cars out into the wild west.

Just got a bunch of resin 1950 cunningham caddies from a gentleman on here does that qualify?

You can enter as many cars as you want, there is no cut off. If your going to take the time to build a car that fits the criteria then I want to see it. $3.00 per car entered to cover shipping.
