Ah, the late, lamented Chrysler Turbine....the bottom Turbine picture is from a movie called "The Lively Set", if you haven't seen it give it a look, all kinds of neat stuff in it besides the Turbine; Jet Dragsters, Bonneville record runs and a very cool impromptu drag race right at the beginning.

DGE you got me another TR3! Amazing how close in size it is to the Vette when you see them like that.

Sad to think how few of the the Bugeyes in that pic still exist!

This has been my most favorite thread. Many thanks to all that have posted the best pics of the best times in automotive history. The cars, the people, the support crews and there vehicles. It's all great.

The Cannonball pictures are cool! Brock Yates has a good book out on it. It's a great read!

More great stuff! Is it just me, or do these make anyone else feel like nothing will ever rival it? Especially the racing pics. Everything back then was so raw. Build, fix, throw it on the track. Everything is so sanitized now. Maybe I'm just nostalgic.
