Trach has been driven clean by some local drivers and cars to assure best track conditions. Now the field is waiting on the
starting line in LeMans style:

Here are some pictures from the training and warm up laps:

Finally the race began, everyone waiting in starting grid and the first cars goes on the track.

Imp #23 - 10V, 25 ohm
stiff guide wires and wobbly front axle.
Handles quite good non the less, stock rubber tires don´t offer too much grip on my track.

Cortina #24 - 13V, 35 ohm
Stiff guide wires, high CoG, great brakes, great grip.
The overall handling is good but also tricky, very often see the car only on 2 wheels. On other occassions it decided that
the actual lane is not enough and that it wants to change NOW ...
Great details!

Volvo #77, 13v, 25 ohm
best training lap 12.387
rear axle binding after 8 training laps. as i didn´t want to fry anything, sadly it gets a DNF

Saab #94, 18V, 90 ohm
high CoG, very smooth
the car especially desloted in tight turn in the upper right corner, even the 90 ohm controller seemed a little too less
for 18V, but only in this corner. Slowing down a little more than usual took care of it.
in lap 9, just after a really hot lap, the push on crown decided to come loose, pushed it back. It came loose again
immediately, so it seems it had been glued on. As glued-on would have meant to disassemble the whole real axle to do it
properly, sadly the next DNF.

Alfa #68, 10V, 25 ohms
a true italian car ;) at the start, the rear axle was really tight, a little oil helped there. the rear body mounting screw
came loose every training lap. A small drop of CA inside the mounting post nearly took care of this, now it was only
necessary every 15 laps to fix the screw a little. For some strange reason it did not like the right hand turns of the
esses, it jumped there on the rear when too much throttle has been applied. After heat 1 the motor was revving up much
easier, but also was quite warm.

Datsun #46, 9V, 25 ohms
what a great car to drive! smooth and fast, just a tad top heavy, only noticable in the real tight turns.
awesome!

Escort #26, 13V, 45 ohm
nice handling car, only the stiff guide wires are bending in tight corners and levering the car out of the slot. body
mounting could be improved ;)

Mini #13, 9V, 25 ohm
the little Diva/Beast! This leightweight car is different to drive, it´s the king of spinouts. I think too much motor in to
less car, a motor with weaker torque and not so good brakes would have fitted it better. Fast non the less.
The full metall drive train is louder than the rest, but also during the race it got a little quieter, maybe needs some
more break-in.
So, this was the last car, some calculations later, the track crew is happy to present the results:

So, the big congrats go to Datto!

All the cars were looking really good and it was a real pleasure to drive them, thanks for letting me race them!
Thanks a great race!
cheers,
