By "George" I think you got it. It certainly looks backwards to me. When you search for Lotus 30 most of them had a 4 spoke wheel. Those are 5. Maybe search for some other similar cars of that era, maybe get an idea of some 5 spoke wheels

the wheel being on backwards is cause the backspacing would not allow it to fit on the lotus any other way and when you want to get your car on a trailer you do what a got to do.
Well my guess for the wheel was way off base I thought it looked like a kal Kustom from the mid sixties.

Definately not a Huffaker Genie. I have one, and that is not even close. The tail piece is hand
formed aluminum, probably made to replace the original Lotus piece. There was a Lotus 40 which
had been heavily modified to run Can-Am, and re-named the Cherokee. This might be it while it
was being built. The wheel has the same style as the Compomotive wheels, but they were three
piece.
