65 GTO racing today!!!

The Boyz are going to try and make a car designed to go very fast straight, to go equally as fast on the road course and compete with the Mustangs and Camaro's.

They can be pretty pig headed about these projects, so we will see what happens!!

Using a truxmore chassis and motor set-up.

Man that is a favorite conversion of mine! I've built a 3 or 4 of those for a friend. I did make one for myself though. The interior of the Torino works with a little trimming at the rear of the tub. I need more Truxmore chassis! Looking forward as usual!

My buddy had one that was red convertible with a black top and interior. By far, the best looking car in our group. We had some gorgeous cars, too. A '69 Superbee, three Mach I's, my '66 Dodge Coronet, 4 Roadrunners, a '67 Camaro SS and a '69 Camaro RS. We all envied that GTO, and we all showed up to wax that sucker almost every weekend one summer. Just park it under a tree in the park with a cooler in the trunk, put the top down, take off your shirt and wait for the girls to line up. We all felt like movie stars on Saturday afternoons that summer, but it was the car that did it.

How's that for inspiration?

Well after the Boyz go out back and have a cigarette after thinking too long about Rob's story...................

They are thinking along the lines of your red example Jelsa, with a black accent theme.

The car kit hunt is the best part of the build, heading to all the toy shows in the smaller towns, and garage sales.

Getting harder and harder to find them that way, but it keeps my building budget in line then too, so that is good too!!

Always liked that car, but it's the wrong year, though most probably wouldn't notice…...

Boyz decided any color called Revving Red, probably made sense for this road racing GTO!!

Jesla, the Boyz were a little nervous on what you would think of this red, they just new it couldn't be any of those earthy colors this time around!!!

They are glad you approved!!

Now on to the sponsors and number applications, the Boyz have gotten pretty greedy about the cash they can get from those sponsors!!
