Harry - those numbers are from the local Greek shop so the Frat boys and gals can make their paddles and what not. Just a buck or two each but they really look nice.
Dan, I'm thinking of doing something on Saturday mornings but in the meantime let me know when you're free. I talked with Pat the other day but he doesn't know about this track yet, I'm thnking seeing it may get him out to do some running.
Jim - the coolest thing about the driver's station is that I wired them to quickly disconnect so If/when I do another track I've already got the stations wired up and ready.

One of my favorite tracks and you have captured it very well! I like the elevation changes and the way the corners are not all the same radius.

How cold does the garage get? Can you get some heaters out there?

Baford - I definitely plan on doing scenery all around. Lane 1 is 74.84' and lane 2 is 76.69'

Dan - The long straight is 12.5'. Feel free to bring the scenery stuff with you when you come over. Every little bit helps.

David - The problem with the garage is that there is no insulation and no ventilation. So it feels like the air is 'trapped', especially at the end away from the door. So the summer's temp is about 10deg hotter than outside and the winter is about 10deg colder than outside. I've done my best to insulate the metal garage door and it helps a bit. I've tried a small electric heater but with a space this large (the garage is 24' long x just over 13' wide and the ceilings 12' high) it doesn't do much. I also have the issue of tripping the circuits if too much juice is being used (microwaves and vacuum cleaners go to war for power in my place, lol) so larger electric heaters wouldn't work. The final roadblock is that I rent, so I can't just go cutting holes for vents and re-wireing to run a heavy duty outlet to the garage....well I guess I 'could' but I don't feel like I should. I'm open to suggestions if you (or anyone) have any. To the track - I'm really pleased with how close the layout looks to the real one, it's one of my faves too so I was glad to able to pull it off.

Bummer on the garage. What about electric radiators? I've used a Walmart special that is filled with mineral oil in one of my last ones. Works pretty good. I don't recall the amps needed, so you could still have issues though.

looking forward to seeing your sceanary as I am about to start mine as well , also with the cooling problem I just bought fans on a stand from our Kmart store for about $15.00 each 3 speeds & they work
fine to keeping the rooms cool in summer
