Here is my '76 Trans Am I bought in 1985.

I was a big Pontiac guy back then can't you tell by all my pics? :lol: :lol: :lol:

It got me in a lot of trouble back then street racing.

Needless to say I got reckless op in it one night doing a smokey burnout contest.

The cop finally pulled me over a mile and a half down the road.

Not one of my proudest moments but quite a memorable one.....

I was just following in my fathers foot steps growing up.

He and my uncle raced all around the country back in the 60's and 70's.

Here is pics of my first car. A '76 Formula. As you can see it took quite a transformation from baby blue to the Ferrari red that it ended up being. That's me in the pic with it in 1984 a skinny punk kid that knew everything.....

When quad 8-track came out I was on that right away. Too bad the tapes didn't play for long
before they unraveled.

Hey Wayne-

My buddy back in street racing days had a '67 maroon Malibu with a hot engine, and when cops turned on their lights behind him (in an absolutely insane impulse) he decided he could outrun them fast enough to get into his neighborhood and hide behind his parents house. He dropped to second, slammed the accelerator, smoked the tires a bit slamming third, and absolutely vanished when he hit fourth. His neighborhood had lots of tight curves in it, and he knew he could take them at speed from having done it for years and years, and that the cops couldn't run the risk of zooming through streets they didn't know in the dark. He was right, and he made it up his driveway and onto a patio behind his house before they even came around the last turn. He turned off his lights and even turned off his stereo. He had it made. He had literally vanished in front of cops. He knew he was going to be a legend... then the cops calmly made the last turn and turned right up his driveway all the way to the back of the house.

When his folks came out in their pajamas, and the cops started listing all the major laws he had broken, not to mention laughing out loud several times while they did it, he couldn't stand it. He had to know. He asked how in the world they knew where he went. "Next time you try to run from the police, you might want to take your foot off the brake when you hide." I've told his story a hundred times over the years.

Not that I am proud of my moments now but I had a few of those out running the laws in my life time.

A couple in my T/A and a couple on a Suzuki racing quad.....

Found memories I can reflect back on but dare not share with my kids....... :lol: :lol: :lol:
