Maybe Moffat struck a deal with Scaley that they had to release a certain number of cars in order to use his name.

Why is no one addressing the 600 pound Gorilla in the room, Mad Max Interceptor conversion anyone??? I think it would be a great starting point and would not be surprised if Scaly puts one out later on.

That's what Scalextric wants to hear! I think that these next few years of offerings had better be strong for sales. Give Hornby credit for doing what they're doing by making specialty cars for specialty markets. How 'bout a 2014 Stingray???

VERY cool! I see an order to Pattos in my near future as a Mad Max body would look AWESOME on my "Spec Womp" class car! :D
Now if I can find a resin version to use for a Scalextric conversion, I will be rockin' and rollin'! :D

Roger, I believe Chris at T'bird sent most of his shipment back to Scalex in disgust at the quality of tampo on them. You can check with him to be certain. I don't know about ScalexWorld. But Mobile Raceway in Dandenong and Melbourne Model Raceways have both had them in stock.

The white (well ecru maybe) car has been long sold out except as part of the Bathurst set with the Torana and track.

I know how you feel - it is kind of like the Dodge "General Lee" not being released in the USA, or to a lesser extent - the USAF Viper limited edition that only had 300 of the 1500 made sent to the USA (That is the United States Air Force Tribute one?!?!) - the only thing I can figure is for some of the releases, there must be licensing issues or something coming into play? Otherwise, you really have to scratch your head as to why they wouldn't send the car to the "home" market? :think:

Except for the front and rear ends the Falcon looks very much like a 1970 Torino to me. I think it would look good on a grid of Trans Am cars but I'll probably pass on these and the Toranas. I can't buy everything :(
