Sprucing up the garage

Postby ListerStormGT » Mon Aug 19, 2013 7:58 am

I am in the process of making a new track once again so I decided to kind of make the area around the track in the garage a little more race car friendly. I love Trans Am cars so I have gathered lots of pics off the internet of various cars. I started off getting the garage ready by installing a window A/C unit in the side door but once it was put in where the window was originally I still had a space on the inside of the door above the unit. Harry had sent me a image of a black and white T/A race and I thought it would be cool as a 16x20 picture that I could frame. My local Walgreen's (Walmart does this also) prints poster size images so I sent this to them and it came out great which in turn I got a cheap $8 frame at Wally World and if filled that space in perfectly.

So this got me thinking and I started playing around on the Walgreen's website and using different images made a couple of collage photos in 11x14 then I took about 30 images of different T/A cars and made big collage of them on a 24x36. I was also able to add text to the photo. Again picked up some cheap frames and now I have some nice images for around the track. I have a few more to do and also will be repainting the wall but once the track is done it should make it a little nicer for my race area.

They look a lot like the Automobile Quarterly posters from the 70s and 80s.

Thanks glad you like it guys, kinda of a inexpensive way to make some pictures. I just thought it would be cool to share so others could do the same with their favorite series of racing. The big one I pretty much just tried to get a couple of every manufacturer in the series.
