Wouldn't you love to have one of those cockpits in your home???? Good part is I get to be in museum when its closed to public!!!!! YEEHAAA! Ok, gotta quit the museum chat, i'll get kicked off the board for not keeping with the slot car theme. (sorry Harry)

I'm insanely jealous! Do you have a slot car track at your place? I think I'll have a new buddy to visit when I come out next! (And Kurt, and Jenny, and...)

The accessability of the museum has always been something that sets it apart from others. I do not remember the Doolittle Raid exhibit being corded off. I took the kids up a few years back and due to our wandering around, we entered this display from a direction that was not placarded. A look at the plane and the "deck" beneath our feet made me realize this was a recreation of a specific event. Once I saw General Doolittle's likeness, I realized where we were, perhaps the most ballsy action taken by the USAAF in WWII. The video of General Doolittle's plane (the first in line with the least amount of deck) leaving the USS Hornet with room to spare, admiration I can not even begin to put to words.
