Need some help for a local school program - need Hot Wheels

Postby dreinecke » Thu Sep 05, 2013 7:17 pm

Folks, my wife is the director of the before/after school program at one of our local elementary schools. The school she is at has very few toys. Without getting into any political discussions - she only has a $200 budget to get toys, crafts, etc for the entire school year! In order for her to get some dolls and crafts for the young ladies we need to stretch these dollars.

I am looking to put together a good sized bucket of cars - RMS Resins is going to buy the carpet with the roads on it and donate that.

I am interested in trading for any diecast Hot Wheels cars - gently used are on as well. Depending on what you've got, I'll negotiate resin kits for the cars.

If you can help, it would be appreciated.

About ten years ago, I was given loads of those things because people knew I had VWs on the property. There's a couple of display boxes of them. The big problem is finding them in the storage room. I'll look tomorrow to see, and I'll get a photo of them. They are untouched after removal from the packaging. I'll leave it to you to decide if they are rare or anything, I wouldn't know. Some folks collect them, and these are old.

Rob

Thanks - I don't want anything rare however as these will get played with. I'd hate for stuff to get destroyed that is collectible.

David,

I think I still have some Hot Wheels around. I also have some 1/64 diecast Nascar vehicles if they are of any interest.

I'll scrounge to see what I have and let you know.

I thought you knew about these things, David. I don't have a clue. I'll post the photos on here, and those who know about them can speak up. Otherwise, they are yours.

None of what I have is collectable! Are you interested in the Nascar ones? I was just about to sort through what I have uncovered when the wife summoned me! Back to the tub of cars.

Folks - thanks for the outpouring. If we get a bunch, we will spread them out to the other elementary schools with the program since they all have the same constraints.

Thank you again!
