Kev, you really knocked it out of the park with this one. Its so good, I'm going to run the first one on the other computer to hear those engines. It has fancy speakers my son fixed up for me. My wife and I are planning a game. I'll sit away from the screen and guess what an engine is, and she will write down whether I'm right or wrong. I have a backup plan. I can blame my son's speaker arrangement when I'm wrong. But the truth is, I am fairly sure I'll get better than 50% correct. We'll see.

I always assumed that the blatty sound was the result of unburned gas in the hot exhaust, as you say, a tuning problem.

Saw these on Sunday at Watkins Glen. It was awesome. I loved every moment of it and it looked to me like they were running pretty hard. Not just parade laps.

I found this on youtube. THis is from Saturdays race which I missed. The race on Sunday had better weather but had an accident where a Camaro ran off the road and hit a photographer. It was a Sunoco Camaro. The photographer was hurt but news reports say he should be OK. After the red flag several cars dropped out of the race, I am not sure why. The Javelin, Challenger and leading Camaro pulled off which left Mustangs to fight over the lead.

I think the vintage racing guys are more of a happy family of car lovers and perhaps some were concerned about the driver and the photographer and pulled out of the race to see what happened.

I will be going next year for sure. It was a great event.
