2012-2013 S.C.O.R.E. SEASON OPENNER!

[Lancaster Tornado!]

October 3 2012 marks the start of S.C.O.R.E.'S 2012-2013 season which begun at Fairview Speedway Leesport Pa., a field of 10 drivers were in attendence for the USAC midget and USAC sprint show. Track owner Homer Heister took victories in both midget and sprint features, ( must think he's Kyle Larson this morning we'll have to call him YOUNG MONEY now! )

The awards for last years season where handed out by Dave Balloch (Mr. SCORE ), the happy winners where Mike Lengel and Homer Heister - Sportsmanship / Bruce Buckwalter - Rookie of the Year / and yours truly Lee Greenawalt USAC midget, sprint, and champ dirt divisions champion. ( triple crown winner ).

That looks like a blast! On top of the fun, it must be satisfying to see cars that you basically built from the ground up run. Plus it's neat to see the variations that you all come up with when designing a metal chassis.

I had heard about the metal chassis scene in the Lancaster area as being pretty strong, and this is certainly an indication of that!
