As a side note, Aussies dont really celebrate Halloween. You get the odd young kid asking for a treat but thats about it. For the first time ever last year I bought a pumpkin to carve out. We had a blast carving it, its alot harder than it looks. What I was amased at was the price of the pumpkins. At the supermarket they were labeled as Halloween pumpkins. The pumpkin I picked out was probably the smallest in the shop & cost me about $27. I fell through the floor, literally at the price! Im guessing they were imported from the states as Australia probably doesnt grow that type of pumpkin here.

So how much do pumpkins go for over in the US for Halloween?

Glad you like it - Lee, I carved it. I've gotten better over the years. This is nothing though...you should've seen the Denver Broncos helmet I did a few years ago.

Greg - I just waxed the Jeep on Sunday...no harm, no foul.

Our pumpkins are only about $3-8 depending on size here. I'm not a big Halloween fan, just like eating candy and carving pumpkins!

I'm not much on Halloween either, but like carving pumpkins too. Once the daughter got too old to trick or treat I gave up the carving, wasn't much point without kids being around. It supposed to storm here on Halloween this year, We have less and less kids each year. Only had 6 kids last year. Most go to parties or the malls anymore. It's not like it was when we were kids. :(
