okay guys lets start getting serious!

1.Motors=no motors bigger than a S-CAN (like tha motors that come in a stock ARTIN) in any of the classes!
2. Gearing=28 tooth crown.....you can play with the pinion(any pinion)
3. Bodies= must be 1/43 A. plastic or resin for STOCK and PROSTOCK B.vacuformed or plastic for TOP FUEL and FUNNY CARS!
4.Tires and Rims=stock or after market (any tire and rim combo) build accordingly! now is this simple enough! if its not mentioned here,it`s not legal ! :laughing-rolling: lets kick these around and if we decide something needs changed or added we`ll deal with it! :text-thankyouyellow:

UPDATE=Guys if you want to build a custom plastic FUNNY CAR or TOP FUEL you can,I was basicly giving suggestions against resin due to the weight! Here`s something else guys,on the STOCK and PRO STOCK,on the passenger side of the wind sheild,take a fine pointed marker and put an S on the STOCKS and a PS on the PROSTOCKS,It`ll make it easier for the host to know what goes where! the FUNNYCARS and TOP FUEL speak for their selves!

No thats not an ARTIN ,but that type is legal!

any tire and rim combo! neopreme,sylicone,rubber etc etc!

if you mix silicone with rubber or PU tires, the grip will go to zero, that´s the reason why i banned silicone tires from the Desmo.

why only the 28tooth crown gear? ranch-design makes some crowns that could be played with to get the optimum gearing for a motor.

@Roland: Artin motors are 13D size.

costs! keep it at a minimum so all can get involved! ,you can buy an ARTIN FOR 3 BUCKS at ebay,fresh motor,frame for scratch building,new tires but you havta true them,and go drag racing!

Hello Everyone,
Just got back from a trip to Florida to try and take of some issues with my 88 year old mother. Its not good down there. Wish it was but------------

Will start pulling up the HO track this week and putting down the Scalextric 1/32 Sport Track. Also will add wood shoulders on each side to widen out the track. Will also be using the Trackmate 3000 timing system that worked so well on the HO track. Will keep you posted as the work moves along with pictures.

Regarding classes and rules etc. You will have to educate me on some of this stuff as I am coming from the HO world. I am all for keeping it simple but at the same time there will have to be some rules setup to ensure the cars are somewhat equal.

A an example I have no idea what an S size can motor is! In the HO world they establish the motor for the class by the minimum resistance of the armature. All all S size motors equal? I bet some will turn higher RPM on the same voltage then others!

Anyway - I have a lot to do to get the track ready. Again I think the best thing to do is keep it simple but the cars MUST BE somewhat equal as far as the motor used etc. As time goes on we can put together more class and rules etc.

TO me the important thing is to have fun with all this!

go on EBAY and look for ARTIN 1/43,Then watch for a brickyard or an INDY 500 SET for sale at 30.bucks thats BECKY down at SLOTCAR WORLD check her other sales and you`ll find she is very reasonable!
