Are you thinking of buying a Scalextric 240Z to fabricate this race car?
Before buying a Scalextric car overseas, I would try one of these ARII model kits from Japan...you would have to fabricate the headlight covers, tailpipes, and decals. It seems like you could replicate a lot of the graphics with a small vinyl cutter with the correct font type.
It looks like a good candidate for making your car. I'd put it on a Slot.it adjustable chassis.

I like the Z cars. I remember my dad and I seeing our first lemon yellow 240Z in the 70's...we went over to where the guy parked in parking lot and couldn't believe it was a "Datsun". Back then it looked like an exotic sports car.

I got to drive my friend's 280Z in the '80s and it reminded me a lot of my first car, a '69 Mustang Mach I.

I would most likely get a new release of a 240Z. When I graduated from college and was looking for a new car I was giving the 240Z serious consideration until I found out it was only available with a manual transmission. My situation required having an automatic. The next year they made an automatic an available option.

Its a beautiful car. It appears to be a 79 or 80 280zx. Nice build. I think I might just have to give it a try.

That used to be my track.
I sold it due to a house move and have started another but the build has stalled due to time spent on other projects.
The new owner added a section and lets me use it from time to time.

These pics should give you an idea of what it was like...built to fit a single garage space and leave room for a workshop...the old Jeep was consigned to the outside world.
