Thanks for the photos of Scaly Zs...it is interesting that the blue and green cars have 260Z emblems on the side.

So the ARII is a 240Z, the Scalextric is a 260Z, and the Monogram is a 280ZX!

Those Scalextric 260Zs look like good project cars...

Curtis, I enjoyed your ramble, it was interesting! I suspected you had owned a Z, but didn't know you raced one...

I've heard the 240Zs were reliable and easy to work on...many people have owned their cars since they were new.

Do you have pictures of the Z you raced?

I noticed most of the Z's that raced had flared rear wheel wells, did your's have flared wheel wells?

I'm thinking of flaring the 240Z's wheel wells for the next one I make into a slot car!

I was licensed, and competed, but I don't know if I ever was really a racer lol. They were great cars and reliable. I guess I just got used to the issues they had, like blowing head gaskets. I was three when my car as built and my parents didn't own one so I bought it used. my dad had a 68 mustang from new, but my sister got it. I have film pictures of it somewhere. Sadly nothing on the computer. My cars body was factory, so no flares. I did have an air dam on it.
