Why no Danica car? Hey look, I'm not looking to start a riot and if one starts feel free to pull the plug - quickly!
Just curious, just no interest? I know the wife unit would actually race some with me if she had one. :P

Better question. Why no gen 6 cars at all? At least none that started out as gen 6. Probably because all of the previous runs of modern Nascars from Scaley, Carrera and SCX sat on the store shelves and collected dust. I'd buy them and probably most HRW members would but that isn't enough to justify new molds.

Bass Pro Shops was selling an SCX NASCAR 1/32 race set that came with Danica Patrick and Tony Stewart NASCAR COT slot cars. The set appears to be sold out but it may be worth checking if you have a local Bass Pro store.

They collected dust, even though they were actually very good cars. The modern Scaley NASCAR was an excellent car, SCX did a nice job with theirs, and the SCX Pro NASCAR was like a Slot.It version of NASCAR. But SCX made something like 300 of each livery (1200 total) and still couldn't sell them all.

Speaking of which, I have three brand new Carrera COT bodies that I need to trade for something. But I digress.

For every one person who thinks Danica is nothing and does not deserve a ride in the Sprint Cup there are most likely three or four people who track her every move on Twitter and Facebook. Otherwise GoDaddy would not spend the time and money to sponsor her. She isn't exactly my idea of the ideal Nascar driver or the ideal girl friend but on the other hand I wouldn't be running her off if I were the object of her desires. ;)

I guess at the end of the day. Wether you love or hate her and wether you think she's good enough to really be there or not.

She's bought in a whole new group of Fans that may not have otherwise even thought about even taking a second glance at Nascar. Even if 5% of these fans having taken a curious look, think "hey this car racings actually pretty good, I might keep watching this".
It's a win for the sport. More fans = more revenue and a healthier bottom line.
