1/43 on 1/32 scale track?

Hi everyone I'm primarily a 1/32 guy with a 6x16 art in 32nd scale oval. I'm interested in some of the 1 /43 rd scale aart in cars. I was wondering if they would run on my 32nd scale track with the stock guide pins. I have adjustable voltage so that should not be a problem. Just need to know what voltage they should run at. And if guide pins will work. Thanks

Yes sir they will run on 1/32 track.Just depends on what type of track.They do fine on 1/32 artin and decent on carrera.On scaley sport and classic the pins need to be shaved so not to bind..

Just as Rusty has already written, normally they should work.

Which track system do you have?

Artin cars work between 6 and 12V
SCX compact standard voltage is 12V
Carrera Go! voltage is 14.8V
Kyosho DSlot 12V

cars with guide pins will run on 1/32nd track, but the guide pin is a PITA.
Maybe you will have to sand the oval Go! guide pin round, as it likes to bind in the corners.

Most will run on 1/32 as noted above, BUt I would say that if you are running magnets it can sometimes be a problem. this can be overcome with a variable power supply by simply turning up the power. Pin guides are a pain as noted.

BUt my main distraction with running 1/43 on 1/32 (or larger) track is that the rails themselves are also larger and in my opinion have too much attraction for the magnets. Carrera should be the best in this regard because it's stainless and stailess has a lower magnetic effect.

Sure, you can do it, but I caution people that you may not be getting the TRUE 1/43 experience, so please keep that in mind when running that your 1/43 experience may not be optimal on a larger track.

The main reason I mention this is I don't want you to throw a car on the track and say "oh, these suck compared to my 1/32's" or something along those lines, with a little fiddling you might be able to improve things a bit, but a true 1/43 track with it's smaller rails will exhibit these cars the best. I have not tried the Kyosho's on a 1/32 track yet; they might be better!?

I had a Scalextric Sport track and I could run Carrera's with a shaved pin OK, but my Compacts with magnets would not move without cranking the power up, magnet would rub on the rails! It's pretty much agreed that 1/43 does not work very well on Ninco!
