Nice kits, nothing new but I like these re-releases. Especially race car kits with nice decal sheets.

Yeah, Harry -- that "Fast Freddie" decal sheet is almost worth the price of admission!
I've got 5 or 6 various earlier issues of that kit stashed away, and I'll probably get a few of these, too.
I'd like an original AMT1965 annual issue kit, but every one I see is priced well over $100, sometimes closer to $200!

A '65 Galaxie was my first 1/1 scale ride -- Factory High Performance 390 cu. in. 4bbl, "Toploader" 4 speed trans, dual exhaust and NO power options.
"Seafoam Green" 2 door hardtop w/black LTD interior. Matching 15" steelies, "dog dish" caps and whitewall bias ply Firestones. What a "sleeper!"
Purchased it from a used car dealer September, 1971 in Denver, CO ...for $700 cash! (I was a student at the auto/diesel college there).
My buddies and I drove it over to the local speed shop in town for a price on a Hurst "Competition Plus" shifter. (The stock shifter was really bad).
The man behind the counter says, "$79.95 + tax... installed !! I said, "Get it up on the lift, man!" Drove it back to Long Island after I was done with school.
I beat my friend's 383 Roadrunner and he gawks at me and says, "What just happened? I got beat by a Ford Galaxie?!" -- Not by much, though! :>)
One of the older mechanics at the Ford dealer I was working at used to take me out lunch time. Driving a one year old Boss 302 Mustang (from the used car inventory!), he instructed me in the art of full throttle power shifting. I had lots of FUN drag racin' at the famed New York National Speedway, too!

...18 years young and I didn't realize what I had. Truly (for me, at least) "the one that got away"... Ernie :>(
Now if I can only find a nice '65 (or a sleek '66!) Galaxie body for my Aurora T-Jet chassis...

The thing about these reisuued kits from AMT is the original release parts are suppose to have been restored. Dave I'd hook ya up, but I'm all out. Like the Petty Dart, I haven't gotten one of them.LOL Guess I need to order a few more
