Finally a new build

Hey guys
I finally get to start myself a new car. Been busy lately. Still busy but going to squeeze in some "me" cars. I love the 64 Galaxie and I would like to model a few of them. I have chosen to start with Fred Lorenzen. Got all my parts assembled, turned, poured etc. . . ready to go I think. Fyrebox 1 motor came from Chuck at ASCW, guide from Peter at Shapeways, Artin crown and Tyco pinion. The chassis is my own creation and works quite well. The tires I poured myself. Racing Champions has a whole string of these things and I want to do quite a few of them, along with the other various '64 makes. Decided to build myself an oval to accompany my road course. I have raced on one and it was hoot. so I have to have my own now :lol:

Great job and fine craftsmanship!!
How do they run with your chassis design?It looks perfect for several different builds.
On a side note,just got the 1954 MERCEDES W196-KIT in.
Wow,great build and a lot more then expected.

thanks guys
prime and first coat are on. Greg the chassis is notched for an scx/radio shack type motor. it would need .080 strip on either side to wedge it in. i have some shims made but haven't copied them yet
