No I think those old red and grey 6 cylinder motors absolutely suck (I don't know if either are similar to Chevy's Blue Flame 6).
A lot of older guys fap on about how magnificent the Holden red motor was (Oh no, flashbacks to the "186" bored to 192 or whatever...).
Truth was they were garbage, I've owned them, had a Brother in Law that was a mechanic that used to hot them up (on simmer maybe?).
I've even meddled with the stinking things slightly (till i got my hand off it and got into proper motors).
Yes, I can't stand the motors, I fail to see the fascination with the cars of that era that the motors resided in, they were rust buckets, slow, the motors were lucky to do 100,000 miles before they expired.....
..... Give me proper US built and engineered iron any old day, they had proper performance motors, not this Aussie bailing twine and fencing wire crap we had forced down our throats :)
Traded in the Arbath..... mmmm, now thats a fun little car!
