Well it looks like the Maverick held it's own against the Camaro. I know the Camaro is no slouch either, I thought it ran nice when Harry had it here. There's a lot to be said for a nicely tuned brass chassis. Nice work John. BTW what happened to the yellow metal flake paint you were going to use? Jim

When you take into account the Camaro is much lower and has tires twice as wide, the Maverick performance is pretty impressive. I think it's great that these cars will work well into the series.

Now just need approval from the OMFG director. :)

Jim, I got in a hurry to get it done. Didn't want to spend a week clear coating trying to fill all the flake. Dave, I put the video up in response to some people wondering how the high setting body on the Maverick was actually going to handle being a bit on the top heavy side. As you can see in the pic of my car in the Maverick Proxy Build thread mine is no where near the ground. LOL

Well it impressed the heck out of me!!!!

There is something in this "roll your own" form of slot car building....

....I like it, i think I'm going to leave my plastic chassis cars on the shelf now :)

WOW! The Mav definitely didn't seem to be having any issue holding it's own! That is great to see!
Thank you for sharing the vid! :D

Yeah, I was quite impressed with it considering all the differences between the two. I'm still debating on weighting the chassis a bit. May do some testing with weight today

First, fun to see the cars running on your track.
