Take care of yourself and do what the doctor says. My Brother had it and it cleared up just as predicted. I know it can be depressing but hang in there and keep us posted on progress. Jim

On the bright side, at least you now have a medical excuse for the food dribbles in the beard and down the shirt. :P ;) :) xXxX

It happens so often I am now digging out old T-shirts with holes in them I had set aside as shop rags. I go through a couple of shirts a day.

Strangely, it is the continuous wearing of a hat to hold my eye open that is the biggest nuisance. I have to remember to blink from time to time to keep from drying my eye and getting a corneal abrasion. I use an artificial tears solution twice a day. My mother got a corneal abrasion after her cataract surgery years ago and I am a little crazy about avoiding that. I had to stop using my Dremel on resin bodies because I got a nasty little touch in my eye from the dust. I had taken precautions, but they weren't enough. The dust got in anyway. It washed out easy enough, because it got right to it but it spooked me.

Have you considered wearing racing goggles? Would solve the problem with the hat AND protect your eyes plus everyone loves playing dress-ups.

Of course. It's just what the doctor ordered. I asked him.

Ooops... Maybe I should've checked which eye.

Get well Waay, I was glad to find out that it wasn't a stroke and you'll be back to your old ways in a while.
just keep winking your eye at your lady and you won't have to remember to keep blinking it.
Like some of us did back in the day to let a woman we liked know that we liked em.

I need a lot more patience, that's for sure. I'll be tearing what little hair I have left out of my head pretty soon.

Thanks for the PM, I just wrote back.

Hey Rob, Jenny gave me the update -- man, what a rotten scare, but we're thrilled it wasn't a stroke.

Get that eyepatch, and stick to doing things that only require one eye: throwing darts, the aforementioned winking, shooting, and painting (where you stick your thumb out at arm's length and squint one eye). With any luck, this thing will be here and gone before you know it.

Rob,
Really sorry to hear about this; get well soon.

Once your better, get over to Cuz's uptown barbecue in Pounding Thrill (that's what it says on their shirt, really pounding hill) and have some barbecued oysters for me. They have a great race team and race team t-shirt- you can make copies of their logo for all of us.

Thanks for all the good wishes, guys. Yesterday went well, but a bad day today. I went out to look at something in the yard and the wind kicked up. Wham! Right in the messed up eye, which, for some reason had decided to partially open at that moment. No damage, but lots of eye washing and discomfort ever since. This is miserable. I wonder what in the world parents do when a kid has this.
