Really just after simple shoot to screen. I had it originally with my EOS10D but didn't have a laptop at the time. I've realised lately just how useful a function it really is. But age of the camera (10 years now) means that it's no longer supported with software updates.
The effect of a tilt shift bellows lens can be reproduced quite well by post processing. Since it became popular there are quite a lot of different plugins for Photoshop and the like that do a pretty good job.
I have no idea where I'd start if I was looking for a new camera. Since Canon changed their lens mounts I'd have to start from scratch again. So, I'm not sure I'd retain my Canon loyalty (I used to be a Minolta fan in the days of film).
I do have a cheap Nikon instamatic that I keep on my workbench for WIP pics rather than using my phone. So Nikon is probably a good place to start.
