Are you making another layout with Atlas/Lionel tracks? what i see on tomy humptrack with your pictures , you have Tyco tracks too, tyco ever make slot and train with the same track...

i would say it is Ali Baba's cave, it is wonderful, noow i can understand all the pictures you posted, i was a little bit confuse with all those tracks, colors, i did not realize you had so many layouts, btw, what do you mean Tomy-AFX not fully completed?
i have been reading all the 17 pages with all the pictures it is really nice, for me i am getting some pieces to eventually making 1 layout, for now i do not have a basement, i might make one( 4x8) with some panels so i can move them when they are not in use, after my 1/32 Artin will be sold but i do have a friend who has one, he mix slot car and train, so once in a while we run throught it... and also i am still looking at those nice hump track you show me

Sylvain, about my 4 lane Tomy Layout, the track isn't totally secured down, to a framed sheet of 1/4"- 4' x 8' plywood. As I'm not sure I like the design of the Roadcourse, so it's not totally committed yet. I may change it, or just remove the track, and use the sheet for the basis of my Atlas/Lionel layout.
BTW- one of the things that bugs me about my Tomy layout, is that I do NOT like to have curves without Borders/Aprons. ie- I don't use guardrails on the outside of the curves per se, I use borders(aprons), and then sometimes guardrails on the outside edges of the borders. But I didn't have enough 9" borders for some of the tighter curves, although I did have enough for all the 12" curves. And FYI- I've been using Tyco 9" and 12" borders. The 12's come from the McGrath Motocross sets, the 9's came from the old Tyco U-Turn sets.

i saw something on eBay and on Google, if you go Google - slot car borders, it might be something you be interested,
there is somebody who make 9 and 12inch aprons and it look really nice , but i am not sure if they can be painted,,,
or with your skill ability, i am sure you can make something similar...

it look like nice so far, but i prefer the tyco, they can be painted ... you can find some inner and outer which is pretty good.

what i did in the early 90, i used car modling and i put them about 2 inch from the track, so either racer could had advantage of the lane and stop the cars going on the floor.

Despite my lack of posting/updates, the Shop is Still Busy. It's just sometimes the Body Repairs/Restorations requiring "Goop" take alot longer before finished. Anyway, although not a T-Jet, this latest Job being sent back to it's owner, was in for Repairing kaNoodled windshield posts, from being stepped on back in it's heyday in the 1970's. This is an original aurora Grand Am Funny car, on the 4 gear "Specialty" chassis. This car also received new tires and a simple tune-up.

Drivers Wanted !? (Here's a Cheap Tip for making Non-authentic T-Jet Drivers) I'm starting here with some old Bachmann/Plasticville HO People, in particular- the little Fellow throwing the Football. You just need to do some 3D Cut and Paste to his arms, lose the football(in this case), and toss the lower part of his body away. See the end result driving the Green Corvette. It's not OEM, but if you have Driver-less convertibles, and just want a figure to fill the seat, Mod some Lil Plastic dudes. :) PS- this little dude even looks like he's shifting gears!
