Had an open house yesterday so I took one of my boys over.. Had a great time checking out the operation and seeing the cars up close.
Lime Rock Park sponsored it and had thier iRacing simulators there.. I set fast time for the day with a lap of 50.639 in the Z4 BMW
It was a fun way to spend a couple hours before heading up to Slot Car Corner for racing last night~
(and I won this cool shirt in a random raffle.. was hoping for the complete front bumper from the Z4, but this is cool too) :mrgreen:













^^ this car ^^ is the actual car that won at Laguna Seca 2 saturdays ago.. Getting refurbed for the next race.

Fuel strategy didn't pay off for the benzin hungry Audi R8 which was technically way ahead of that 'winning' Z4... poor Audi ran out of fuel right before the flag. Good race though. One of my classmates from High school was racing in the Muelner Motorsports 911 in GTD class. That GTD race was an even better race! I raced at Laguna Seca in 1987 in a 1976 Porsche Carrera 3.0 on the old 1.9m circuit PCA/GGR club time trials. Pretty neat being able to hold it flat out under the bridge into the old turn 2 at over 120mph in 4th gear and not lift!

Awesome shirt, lucky you! Getting your boys hooked on race cars is good too. On all my sim racing I prefer Laguna Seca the best, probably because I'm familiar with it the most. My dad has taken me there since the early 1970s growing up, Can-Am, SCCA, Trans-Am, IMSA, even watched the last MotoGP with the 2 stroke 500cc in 1991 and Hans Stuck win in the 1992 Porsche 964 turbo.
