Interesting concept - good looking cars that have less expensive chassis.

Perhaps someone would come out with a car that has an accomplished chassis, but no interior? Save money there, have a competent car and enjoy racing the car against your friends.

Well Marty, I am sure the car will run good. I'm not much into this brand, especially with Racer models taking my attention.

But I like to have scale detail. I don't really prefer a car with no interior, regardless on how much "performance" advantage their might be. If everyone is running the same, it all washes out in the end.

Besides, the latest Slot.it models have that new lightweight interior tray. So there is an established chassis with weight savings correct?

I do concur with you, at least to a point.

Can you just imagine how well a car that comes out of the box, to the track and can be driven like a tuned car will help out a newbie to the hobby? Give them something to build their confidence and also show them early on how a car should / could handle. Then they can learn how to drive and later learn how to tune.

Just another path towards success.

Interiors are integral to cars, or hasn't you noticed that? What I'm after is the most realistic in scale.
As far as making it perform? Harry said it best, "if everyone's running the same, what's the diff?"
Give me eyeball or keep your toy car for the less enthusiastic. Only scale done correctly for my $.

They look nice but I will reserve any further comment until I see the chassis and find out how it runs. I'm one of those who wants a slot car to perform first and foremost. Slot cars to me are for racing while model cars are for looking accurate and pretty on the shelf. The occasional slot car that has both is a bonus that I enjoy the most.

There is no plastic chassis being made today that is worse than some of the stuff we had just 10 years ago. If we could make it work 10 years ago, we can make it work now. :) I'm willing to bet that this chassis is as good or better than 90% of what was available then.

I suspect it will be a fairly basic sidewinder chassis perhaps based on the HSV chassis but with a fix pod?
