Watch Indy 500 Races From Years Gone By

Wow! I happened to roll by ESPN Classic early this AM and noticed that their programming is almost entirely previous Indy 500 races. I saw Mario Andretti win the 1969 event.

Something that is awesome is seeing the difference in the coverage of the races.

It's also cool to watch Chris Economaki age before your eyes. I miss him as a great interviewer.

I don't know if tomorrow will be the same, but check out scheduling in your area on ESPN Classic.

There was an old movie called "Indianapolis Speedway" on last nite, made in 1937. Good footage of
Millers, Stevens and Wetteroths. And not too campy.
