TGIF - Busy Days

Been a heck of a week around here. Very busy with product reviews and keeping up. There is more to come so stay tuned :) Thanks to all who have been helping behind the scenes, it is much appreciated.

Little time for projects this past week. Heading out this afternoon for a little road trip, but back to work tonight :)

Planning on some more labor on the track - hope to join the parts back up.

Some house work, rebuild a PC for the shop, and dodge thunderstorms. The fetching Mrs. Reinecke comes back on Sunday for her two weeks visiting family in Florida, so that will be nice .

I might try some kind of scratch-built chassis, as I have nothing that will fit the wheelbase of my sparkly new AMC Matadors bodies. :/

Quiet weekend here trying to gear up for a big tasks that looms on the horizon. Note book and pencils will be getting a workout over the next week or two.

Got some bad news from the Dr a while back. Starting to let it sink in this weekend... dammit.

Its more or less a life sentence. About 15% of my face paralyzed, and much worse, some bizarre condition that causes my body to swell. I'm tipping the scales around 400 right now (up from 310 only 6 weeks ago), and my heart is getting squished. I can't get my feet into any shoes, and I'm on the maximum dose for the drug that forces the fluid out. Its losing the battle. The Dr can't explain it. It acts like Legionaire's Disease, but it is not bacterial, its either viral or a very rare allergic reaction. Allergist next. But moving around and planting the garden weighing 400 is tough, I found out today. Its just hard to take. It isn't over yet.

My friend, that is indeed not good news.

400 pounds, WOW! I think it's time to stay indoors and out of the heat. We don't want to hear about you falling over from heart failure.

I'm sure there is something that can be found to help alleviate the water retention. Of course for the first 90 pounds or so, you'll be spending most of your time indoors and in the bathroom.

I just know that things will work out for you. I will be sending up prayers for you.

On the slot car front, not much going on this weekend. It will be a clean up the yard weekend, and play with the new Fiat. :)
