Who would you have at your dinner table?

Who would I like to have at my dinner table to talk racing and their place in the racing world?

Wendell Scott, In my opinion the bravest and most ground breaking driver ever to enter a NASCAR race.
Curtis Turner, A driver who was not afraid of Big Bill France at a time when all drivers were afraid of him. He got the suspension to prove it.
Bill Scott, a former Formula V racer who revived Summit Point from the point of extinction, a true gentleman and racer.
Mario Andretti and A.J. Floyt, just to hear the reasons each give as to why they are the Greatest American Racing Driver. In my book they
are #1 and #2 but I can not decide which is which.

Ok, All you guys are missing out. There is a clear number one, it is:

1. Harry- for his pow fatty, this site and his overall insight. :music-rockout:
2. Jim Cook-
3. Connie Burdett- Knew both of these last two and think they left us way to young.
4. My Dad- Died when I was young of ALS and knew more about cars than anyone else I've ever known or heard of. Was an engineer at the Skunk Works for Lockheed during the U-2, F104 starfighter and SR71 days and built NASCAR engines in our garage at home for fun at night and on the weekends.

Without bragging because of SCCA I have had dinner with a lot of the people that others have named on this list and you know what? They were just people like anybody else and not all that interesting. I would much rather have dinner with most of you. :banana-dance:

Good call, Ember! Tales of the early days from Denise's perspective would certainly be entertaining at the table.
