Yep. Farm tractors, helicopter engines, outboard boat engines, its amazing what that outfit has been excellent at doing.

Along the way, they designed the "Kubelwagen". They did not build the vehicle as they were only a design studio during WW-II.

I have the great grandson of the Kubelwagen, the Type 181 VW which was sold in this country as "The Thing". There was an interesting and surprisingly efficient and reliable version known as the "Swimmerwagen" (probably not real German but an American nickname), that was amphibious, converting from the Kubelwagen to a sort of square boat in minutes. I've seen examples of this thing "swim" and they are remarkable.
