Noted, I'd love to do a Corvair. I saw a Stinger Corvair in Pittsburgh a few years ago at a vintage race and I would very much like to do a Corvair.

Dave thank you for the sidestep into white kit territory. Others have said that they don't sell, even though it seems counterintuitive to forum hobbyists (forumites are not the majority).

Quick question if I may... How are Carrera cars fitted together in assembly? Are they glued like Scalextric or tab welded like SCX. This makes a big difference to the ease of disassembly for repainting. I've not tackled a Carrera repaint yet, but I hope to in the not too distant future when I have access to a more suitable track to set them free upon.

I second (or third or fourth, whatever) the 66 chevelle. My high school car was a used 66 SS with a 396. Still one of the best cars I ever owned. A buddy put a 454 with dual quads and a tunnel ram in his; that thing would pull the front wheels off the ground even with that heavy motor.

a good portion of the stock cars at Saugus, Ascot and Riverside were also 66 or 67 Chevelles when I was growing up. I say bring 'em on. :banana-dance:
