I done the offset motor and even an independent front end, but that camber is something I never thought of. It looks great! I bet it helps, too. Its the same physics as full size, after all.
And as for making an AMT chassis work... you're a better man than I, Markus! Very impressive.
Very nice with the negative camber. Do you run two half axles in brass tubing? I try and achieve the same thing by running my front wheels 0.5mm off the deck. The car will naturally lean during cornering which loads up the outside tyres. I noticed you dont coat your front tyres with nail polish or superglue. Do you have any problems with a bouncing front end?
Dave - believe it or not, they can be pretty entertaining - especially at the current pricing! I may have to dig out this one that I built when the kits first came out (with guide, axle, wheel, etc upgrades) and start messing with it again! :)
Nice innovation with the offset motor. How easy is it to reverse the direction around the track? Would love to know how much difference the offset motor has on the lap times.
