Yea. It could have been my fault, i might not have gotten the paint mixed good enough.But after 7 days and the tape would roll up on the corners and lift on the straights, i figured i was in for trouble.tried to scuff the areas that were giving me trouble,and the paint rolled of the track like it had oil on it!. Oh well,no real harm done,its all fun anyway right? i have always said when something breaks, fix it better or stronger than before.

Track looks like it will be a fun one. Just don't forget about those oval cars :)

I think you will enjoy building the road racers too. I enjoy those just as much as my oval racers. When you are door to door it's all fun.

Thanks Bibbster! I made some progress today,got all the screen wire covered in two layers of plaster cloth, it took ten rolls.
I can hardly wait to make some laps!

Two lanes all painted and taped! WOW is this layout fun :D :D Just under 8 seconds lap times on fresh paint,once its rubbered in the times will drop im sure. Using the smooth Strombecker track and revel aprons has made this a very good drivers course.It seems to really like the pioneer trans am cars.

Thanks Dave!, I gotta tell ya,with the track fastened securely to the OSB,This thing is seriously solid! and about as smooth as you would ever want a track to be. It might be a while before it gets pulled for MDF replacement! I did not utilize any of the squeeze or crossover tracks ,so its door to door through the corners,if you can get past the tail ends swinging out! :lol: A lot of folks don't like the even lane spacing of a sectional track,but without magnets,you cant pass easily anywhere but the straights.
