Are Slot it HRS chassis legal for this proxy race?

Okay Cup guys here is the schedule. We have six rounds. Two at bibbsters. With the holidays it will be kinda slow between rounds at first so that will be good. Figuring two to three weeks between rounds after the holidays. So cars should be back to you end of April first part of May. Unless we get some others to join. Here is the host order. If there is a problem let me know.

SRQSloter- Fl./ Wood road course...Cars arrive Nov. 15th I will probably ship them to Steve after Thanksgiving first week December.
Sadco Racing- KY./ Scaley road course...
Aaroldn- TN./ Scaley oval...
Bibbster- TN./ Wood oval and wood road...
ShotgunDave- Area52/ Wood oval...Biggin...

If this proxy is still accepting entrants, I might be interested in entering a car. I've enjoyed the Beginner's Proxy so much that I'd like to give it another try. However, this is a step up for my level of experience. Keep in mind that I don't own enough cars to have spare parts lying around. I'd need to purchase pretty much everything.

Could anyone suggest (with links please) a body, chassis, etc? I found these bodies. Would these be acceptable and/or recommended?

What about a chassis? Would either of these slot.its work? Is there a cheaper chassis that would be comparable to these in quality?

I don't mind stripping a painted body and doing a fantasy livery. I'd actually like to give that a try. But I'm unsure of where to start for the other things. I

Question:

How do you attach a chassis to a body from a different brand body? Are there special clips or screws or something?

Also, could anyone suggest a chassis to use for this proxy? I posted links a couple of posts above. Would those work? Is there a cheaper option? Would anyone share the chassis brand that you're using?

Burrell, The body mounts is probably the biggest pain in scratch building or when using a different manufacturer's chassis for me anyway. I usually use a nylon tube I found at Ace hardware along with SCC body post hardware kit. http://www.slotcarcorner.com/1-32-Slot- ... r-SCC-c27/ the photo is one I did with inserts both ends. Most of the time I just use one and JB weld and hot glue the tube to the body. On this it mounted to 1/4"x.062 styrene that was glued to the interior.



The chassis that you listed would be your best choice. SCC also has some universal chassis. One of which we are running in the IROC Proxy cars. There are plenty of different types out there. http://www.slotcarcorner.com/1-32-Slot- ... arts-c117/

What about interior's? Can they be scratch built or have to be stock? Did you decide on tire sizes yet? I quickly read Dickies post. Didn't know if there was going to be a change? Thanks. Would love to throw my hat into this proxy! Car # 2 or 31. Don't know if I'll have time to redo a body. :dance: I know I'm a BIG :doh:

Where can I get get the headlight, grill,ect decals? Besides patto's. Don't have that much time! Car needs to be done by end of Oct. I will be Conn. For a 24 hr race. Thanks for the help!

I made my own head and tail light decals. Just googled brand of car head or tail lights. And got lucky to find some pics I could save the image and resize.
