I have quite a few myself in my collection. I converted all my Carrera vintage stockers onto Monogram/Revell chassis so they all will match up equally.

A blast to drive especially with 4 going around the track at a time!!!!

Dave so cool! Could you snap off a few photos with the cars going left to right just entering a turn? Place the camera on the track surface looking at them and apply zoom so there isn't any wide angle lens distortion and then move it back as far as you can to fill them in the frame, then lift up a tick so you can just see the sides and rear. Maybe an inch or two off the track surface? If yaa have to climb on the track to get the shot, well its beefy enough to hold you! Sorry for all the Art Direction blah, blah, blah… The local elves drank all my maple syrup and are tugging at my leg with a SoCal speedworks stable idear.

Your new SoCal oval is the beesknees, love the tarmac details. I wonder how the little RSRs would do? Probally spin out and or flip over!

ps… my first car at 16 was a 1965 Pontiac Tempest. 326ci V8, 2-speed, bias ply tires. Light blue 2-door coupe. All your builds remind me soo much of that Pontiac!

Then I started searching for photos, ruhro this white illustration is trick. Is there a 1965 Pontiac GTO 1/32 or 1/24 scale kit? I'd drop it a little more and flare the rear fenders some.

Carrera did a few liveries of street cars in the '66 GTO. That's as close as I know of.

I have lost track of where a particular car is that I want to steal parts from, and I will be going through the Carrera & Monogram Stock Car boxes soon to find it. I'll try to remember to take a picture of all of them together. I always wanted to do that anyway. It should be a great shot.

I have 2 Carrera GTOs in my pic in my earlier posting.

One is red with white stripes and the other is blue with yellow front end.

Both are on monogram/revel chassis so all the cars run equally.

I love the picture of that white '65 GTO!

Someone made a 1/32 snap kit of the '65 GTO years ago.....

Great photos Dave. But, I know how much you like to build your own, rather than RTR. Have you considered adding a George Turner Galaxie or Falcon Sprint to the group. Beautifully modeled and very nice to tune and run by all accounts.
