Hi everyone. I have just joined the forum, and straight away I found something I can strongly support. After 50 years of driving and collecting slot cars, I changed my track to Carrera and started to use their cars. I get a bit annoyed with cricism levelled at Carrera cars saying they are heavy and slow. I find them very competitive, fun to drive and not as nervous as similarly priced cars. I am now very keen on all my Carrera cars.

Im working on my track today. Gotta run in to work tonight to see how the concrete we poured is doing and open that area up around 8 pm so im hoping to get the oval up and running before i have to leave. My boys are wanting to race bad lol.

I admire the fact that Carerra is issuing lesser-known drivers and their cars.Iggy Katona,Sal Tovella,Andy Hampton, etc. These raced in the seldom reported events of USAC,ARCA, and IMCA.they suffered I believe because they raced raced mainly in the Mid-West on little known tracks.both paved, and dirt.But, among the fans of these organizations the drivers were on an equal footing with their NASCAR counterparts :twocents-mytwocents:
